An Epic Day Exploring Creative Careers

Over 500 attendees flooded into McCaw Hall at Seattle Center on Tuesday, October 14th for the 2025 Creative Economy Career Day, a free, annual, one-day educational program hosted by The Seattle Office of Arts & Culture and the Office of Economic Development.  The morning featured panels, presentations and live demonstrations from creative industry professionals that explored careers in theatre, filmmaking, fashion, animation, audio production and design. The afternoon was dedicated to networking and mentorship. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and seek advice from more than 60 creative industry partners and representatives from community arts organizations.

Office of Arts and Culture Staff got a chance to chat with attendees; here are some of the highlights:

I’m into visual art but my favorite thing today was the fashion shoot.

We had no idea what to expect, but wow. We are so inspired. And check it out, the students are looking around and looking at each other, they aren’t on their phones.
