Jahnvi Madan Quintet
April 20, 2 p.m., Armory Stage

Seattle’s “resplendent” (Earshot Jazz) Jazz clarinetist/composer Jahnvi Madan presents “What does Home mean to you?” – an innovative performance that will take listeners on a journey through sound, memory, and emotion. Featuring her acclaimed band of musicians from NY, Boston, and Seattle and a set of original music, this free concert will reflect on ideas of Home, Belonging, and Open Heartedness through the lens of Jazz.
Heidi Grace Acuña
May 3, 2 p.m., Mural Amphitheatre

Living Waling Waling! is an interdisciplinary fashion show that brings together the life force energy of 20+ QTPOC artists in a free, all-ages celebration! Watch as models and dancers transform into Heidi Grace Acuña’s orchid vision – each garment crafted with upcycled materials, hand-painted details, and Filipino textiles, drawing inspiration from Filipino folklore, her Concha and Acuña family stories, and of course the one-and-only waling-waling orchid!
SIFF Education
May 8, 6 p.m., Armory Stage

In collaboration with Seattle swing group, The Manouchesters, SIFF Education is thrilled to present a selection of student-made silent films with live musical accompaniment inspired by the music of Django Reinhardt.
Seattle Opera
May 17, 1 p.m., Mural Amphitheatre

Earth to Kenzie is a one act opera written for youth audiences that tells the story of an imaginative 5th grader named Kenzie who finds comfort in the world of her video game when she and her mom find themselves living in a family shelter. This one-act opera explores themes of empathy and finding strength and belonging despite diversity. Featuring a cast of professional singers, sets and costumes, this is a perfect introduction to opera for the whole family.

May 18, 2 p.m., Armory Stage

Passing the flame, Azteca dancers honor the sacred firekeeper.
In a ritual steeped in symbolism, the elder firekeeper will impart her knowledge and blessings upon the next generation of firekeepers.
Shaudi Bianca Vahdat
June 8, 2 p.m., Armory Stage

The Golden Door draws from a series of interviews conducted by composer Shaudi Bianca Vahdat with members of BIPOC immigrant communities in the U.S. Using these interviews, historical documents, and her own identity as a second generation Iranian-American, Shaudi has crafted a series of songs honoring, exploring, and finding joy in these diverse tales of coming to the U.S.
Canvas of Hope Foundation
June 21, 7 p.m., Armory Stage

Presented by the Canvas of Hope Foundation, Beats & Bars is a high-energy celebration of music, dance, fashion, and spoken word. This dynamic pop-up experience harnesses the power of the arts to empower, rehabilitate, and inspire.

Artists at the Center is a multi-year collaboration between Seattle Office of Arts & Culture and Seattle Center, with support from Uptown Arts & Culture Coalition and the communities adjacent to Seattle Center campus. The project is made possible by a 10-year grant from Climate Pledge Arena and Seattle Kraken.
