Civic Poet, Jourdan Imani Keith, Featured in Juneteenth 2021 Artist Collective

Seattle’s Civic Poet, Jourdan Imani Keith, has joined the Artist Collective virtual showcase, which features local Black creatives as part of Northwest African American Museum’s larger Juneteenth celebrations.

In honor of Juneteenth, the Artist Collective broadcast will showcase Black-identifying musicians, dancers, artists, and creatives who focus on the theme Sankofa (translates to “go back and get” in Akan Twi and Fante). Jourdan Imani Keith joined a panel of experts who selected the participants of this showcase. Stay tuned for the full virtual showcase, hosted by Northwest African American Museum’s L. Patrice Bell.  

This program is presented by the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass’ collective Diversity, Equality, and Inclusivity Committee in collaboration with Northwest African American MuseumOne Vibe Africa, and Wa Na Wari.
