Nominations sought for Latino Heritage Award, due Sept. 15

The city’s Latino City Employees Organization is accepting nominations for the Seventh Annual Latino Heritage Award. Nominations are due Sept. 15.  Go here for award criteria and the nomination and selection process.

The Latino Heritage Award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the Seattle Latino community by displaying leadership, innovation, creativity and dedication. Through their contributions, award recipients inspire others to be involved in the Latino community and make a difference.

Nominations will be reviewed by the award committee. The award recipient will be notified by Sept. 26. Mayor McGinn and LCE will present the award on Oct. 15, during the evening Latino Heritage Month celebration at Club SUR in Seattle’s SODO district.
