Over 1,000 joined us in revelry for LONGEST DAY!

In celebration of the longest day of 2025 on June 21, King Street Station Plaza was transformed with live music, dance, and cirque performances.

The event drew over 1,300 people who crafted flower crowns, awed at aerialists, sipped lemonade, and danced to vibrant music until the sun set. Between DJ sets, dance workshops, and all-ages art activities, LONGEST DAY lived up to its tagline of a communally-minded, season-inspired Solstice party.

“I didn’t know the Office of Arts & Culture organized events like this. Today’s my birthday and it feels like the City’s throwing me one big birthday party!” -Attendee

This free program took place on a Club World Cup game day as a testing ground for future summer activations in 2026. An attendee survey indicated that about a quarter of participants watched the Club World Cup match prior to attending LONGEST DAY, introducing both visitors and Seattle residents to the wide array of local artistic talent in Seattle.

“We were at the game, saw the signs to Longest Day, and came to check it out!” -Participants in art activity

Check out some of the day’s highlights in the gallery below and stay tuned for our next Solstice party in December!
