We’re seeking an undergraduate college intern to support the Public Art Conservation and Maintenance program for 10 weeks during the summer of 2011 (part-time, beginning mid-June). The student’s work will be under the direction of the art conservation technician.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable knowledge of public art and object conservation. The intern will learn how to evaluate the condition of an artwork, provide written and photographic documentation, assist with establishing treatment proposals and participate in conservation, restoration and maintenance treatments on a broad range of artworks from historic bronzes to totem poles across the city.
Application deadline is May 3, 2011. See more information and apply online here.
