Sit in on Public Art 101 for Artists: Working with Materials and Budgets, a free web seminar (or “webinar”) produced by Americans for the Arts. The webinar is 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Seattle Municipal Tower, 700 Fifth Ave.
Working with Materials and Budgets will provide artists new to public art with information about how to be successful during design development. Presenters are Mary Rubin, city of San Jose Office of Cultural Affairs; Brian Laczko, architect; Amy Trachtenberg, artist; and Sam Rodriquez, artist. Participants will be connected with the presentation by phone and projected streaming video. Public art staff from the Office and 4Culture will be there to answer questions following the program.
