Community members got a chance to meet artist Dan Webb at the Beacon Hill Piñata Party, July 17. Webb was selected to create a three-dimensional, permanent artwork for the Chief Sealth Trail where it crosses Beacon Avenue South on Beacon Hill. The artwork will mark the location of the trail for drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians. Webb will begin work this summer with installation expected spring 2011.
The project is commissioned with Seattle Department of Transporation 1% for Art funds and administered by the Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs.
