Mayor issues proclamation for Arts Education Month
May is Arts Education Month in Washington state. Together with ArtsEd Washington, we invite you to join the statewide campaign celebrating and promoting arts education. Read Mayor Mike McGinn’s proclamation in support of Arts Education Month.
Arts Education Month is a time to celebrate and strengthen arts education in our schools for all students, recognize the creative endeavors taking place in our schools and show the community how the arts are making a difference in education.
ArtsEd Washington has made it easy to participate in Arts Education Month. Check out their toolkit and learn more about the issues and how you can get involved.
An education without the arts is simply incomplete. We are working to put the arts back in education through alliances such as our Arts Education Partnership with Seattle Public Schools.
