Friends of Inscape, 2025 Cultural Facilities Fund Awardee, leads Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal and State Senator Rebecca Saldaña on a tour of their space. We are proud to announce the 2025 Cultural Facilities Fund (CFF) Awardees. On pause since the pandemic, we re-opened this program last year as part of a combined application with our Centering Art & Racial Equity Grant, to increase equity and access. Out of 88 CFF applications, 14 organizations were selected by a panel of five practicing artists and cultural leaders with a background in running arts facilities.
The ADEFUA Cultural Education Workshop will continue to facilitate our Cultural Arts work in community due this generous support from The City of Seattle’s Office of Arts & Culture”
– Afua Kouyaté, ADEFUA Cultural Education Workshop
Our cultural spaces define the social character of our neighborhoods. They are the brick-and-mortar portals to the creative vibrancy our city has to offer. CFF is intended to support capital projects that improve Seattle’s arts and cultural spaces in significant and lasting ways.
CFF funds Seattle arts, heritage, cultural, and arts-service organizations with facility projects that create greater access for those who have been (and are) inequitably excluded from owning, managing, and leasing property. Data shows that communities most impacted by structural racism and oppression have had the least access to controlling cultural space. This fund prioritizes projects that eliminate this disparity.
The Highland Park Improvement Club (HPIC) is rebuilding a community cultural anchor. The new building will provide an inclusive gathering place, host neighborhood programs that celebrate the diverse cultures we represent, and foster community engagement.”
