Project Convergence
August 3, 1:45 p.m., Armory Stage

Taalam (Rhythm) is a joyous exploration of what happens when the South Indian dance form of Bharatanatyam meets the African-American art of tap dance. The show celebrates the euphoria that occurs from cross-cultural exchange, while also playfully highlighting the humorous missteps that occur when experiments encounter language barriers.

August 9, 5 p.m., Exterior Kreielsheimer Promenade

sweetwaterdances explores how water functions as a conduit for memory keeping, co-creating a memory ritual that connects us to both a past-present-future and the potential of other realms. sweetwaterdances is an experiment on recalling and preserving memories that connect us and brings forth space-time-histories into a conversation in a contemporary moment.
Dekoboko Taiko
August 10, 2 p.m., Mural Amphitheatre

Join Dekoboko Taiko for an hour of thunderous drumming! Featuring a wide range of Japanese drumming styles and a repertoire ranging from traditional music to original pieces. Come experience the joy and energy of our fun-loving taiko crew.
Alice Gosti
September 17, 12 & 2 p.m., Seattle Center Monorail

Passengers aboard the Seattle Center Monorail will experience an unprecedented collision of movement, sound, and space as Alice Gosti and MALACARNE presents Chapter 2 — a site-responsive performance featuring four of the most revered figures in contemporary dance: Mark Haim, Tonya Lockyer, Wade Madsen, and Bebe Miller.
DaySoul Exquisite
September 20, 4 p.m., Upper Northwest Courtyard

DaySoul Exquisite hosts an interactive live show and community gathering at The Seattle Center to explore themes of housing justice, racial equity, and the future of the city. Featuring a live set by the band, a performance by MC Yirim Seck, refreshments, and an art-based writing reflection and community talkback
Ihaw-Ihaw Jam Band
September 21, 4 p.m., Armory Stage

The tumultuous decade of the Seventies can be looked upon as an awakening in Philippine popular music. Historically influenced through the early years of colonization, Philippine music either had brushes of Spanish sentimentality, or outright copy-cat cover versions of American and Western pop music. Until that one song that let loose since a wave of liberating self-awareness in what is now called, OPM—Original Pilipino Music.

Artists at the Center is a multi-year collaboration between Seattle Office of Arts & Culture and Seattle Center, with support from Uptown Arts & Culture Coalition and the communities adjacent to Seattle Center campus. The project is made possible by a 10-year grant from Climate Pledge Arena and Seattle Kraken.
