On October 19, ARTS at King Street Station hosted Announcing The Jackson Street Jazz Trail launch party, a photo exhibit and Jazz Trail walk presented by Earshot Jazz Festival and the Jazz Trail Committee. We celebrated the new, self-guided walking tour of Seattle’s historic Jackson Street Jazz District.
Guests enjoyed jazz vocals by Darelle Holden, a video presentation by jazz historian Paul de Barros, a rare exhibit of historic photos, and a free tour of the trail. Selected from the exhibit Jackson Street After Hours: The Roots of Jazz in Seattle, the photographs illustrated stops along the route the Jazz Trail.
