Artists at the Center introduces emerging and established artists to Seattle Center while broadening the arts and cultural experiences in the Uptown Arts & Cultural District. Join us for surprising and delightful pop-up performances throughout the year all over Seattle Center campus. The full Summer lineup is below.
All events are FREE, open to the public, and take place at Seattle Center (305 Harrison St, Seattle, WA 98109).
Show Brasil!
July 7, 2 p.m., Mural Amphitheatre

Internationally recognized and respected Show Brazil! has delighted audiences in the United States, Brazil, and Canada for over twenty five years. The ensemble features accomplished performers featuring Brazilian traditional to contemporary music and dance.
Big World Breaks LLC
July 20, 1 p.m., Armory Stage

Utilizing a responsive canvas mentality, Big World Breaks‘ intergenerational percussion collection, the BWB Drumline, will align with multi-medium visual artist Perri Rhoden to explore how composed and improvised rhythms can engage with a live art piece being born as a public, live action visual scoring.
Penguin Productions
July 25, 5 p.m., Mural Amphitheatre

Penguin Productions is thrilled to bring youth-written new works to the Center! Finding Trails: On Wheels is a festival of four short plays written, directed, and performed by young artists paired with professional playwriting and directing mentors.
VCBynum Arts and Education
September 3, 6 p.m., Armory Stage

Vania C. Bynum is excited to bring local artists together for the second time at the Seattle Center with (VC)Bynum Arts & Education. Stop by the ARMORY for food, music, dance, and poetry that will get you fired up for any concert. Artists include Vania Bynum, Renee Busch’s Throwbacks, Black Stax featuring Felicia Loud & Jace-Ecaj, dancers from VCBynum Arts, and more. Extend your Labor Day fun one more night before school starts!
Das Biest Performance Project
September 15, 2 p.m., Upper Northwest Courtyard KEXP Stage

This movement piece is an adaptation of a work first premiered at Next Fest NW in 2023. It explores the mundanity and absurdity of living day to day as a disabled person. More information on Das Biest Performance Project.
Windz of Change Alliance
September 28, 1 p.m., Mural Amphitheatre

Join Makah Hishka Wolf Society for a whale coming-out celebration ceremony. Created and led by Heritage Custodian Micah McCarty, Makah, you will witness a little seen Coastal Peoples tradition with songs, dances, teachings, stories, and cultural demonstrations.

Artists at the Center is a multi-year collaboration between Seattle Office of Arts & Culture and Seattle Center, with support from Uptown Arts & Culture Coalition and the communities adjacent to Seattle Center campus. The project is made possible by a 10-year grant from Climate Pledge Arena and Seattle Kraken.
