On Monday, June 9, 2014, Artists Up hosted a successful evening of resources and networking for Asian, Asian-American, and Asian Pacific Islander artists. The event brought together over 60 artists of varying artistic disciplines with the goal of growing relationships between artists and funders, as well as demystifying funding programs and processes. One of the artists stated, “This is a great event, very inspiring!” and another noted ““I loved the opportunity to be in a room filled with Asian Pacific Islander artists of all ages and art disciplines.”
Artists Up is a collaborate series initiated by the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, 4Culture, and Artist Trust with the mission to better serve underrepresented artists and artist communities. Special thanks to our partner and host, Asian Counseling and Referral Service. The next Artists Up event will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 6:00 PM at the Northwest African American Museum. Hope to see you there!

Greetings from an Asian American artist, museum professional and the Arts Reviewer for the Vietnamese Weekly which has a readership of 5000. REQUEST: Would your office add me to a mailing list for press/media so I will be sure to catch events such as this one? Many thanks. Jean
