“Springboard” your organization to greater success and sustainability

Springboard is a cohort-based program for small and mid-sized arts and cultural organizations developed and led by Claudia Bach of AdvisArts and fueled by a corps of skilled 501 Commons volunteer consultants. Springboard participants complete an organizational assessment, attend cohort meetings and an afternoon forum with local arts experts, while working with a 501 Commons consultant team to define the changes you would like to see and develop a specific plan of action. Most activities will occur between February and June 2014.

Over 20 organizations have participated in the Springboard program over the last five years including Reel Grrls, SANCA, Music Works Northwest, and Theatre Puget Sound. As a result of the program, Springboard participants report that they have clarified staff and board roles, created outreach and marketing campaigns to expand audiences, increased contributed and earned income, and much more. Many report that Springboard results in the board and staff being better aligned and energized.

Program fees for the program are on a sliding scale and start at $500, thanks to the support of funders including our office and 4Culture. Applications are now being accepted for Springboard 2014. Click here for program information and the application or email Laura Ciotti, Springboard coordinator, at laura@501commons.org.
