Mark your calendar for Dec. 6 and 7 to participate in Cultural Space Seattle, a two-day event to help shape policies to keep and create affordable space for artists and arts organizations to work, rehearse and perform in Seattle. Hear from national and local cultural space leaders; discuss policy, funding and program models; and learn about current cultural space projects.

Artist and cultural planner Theaster Gates will deliver a keynote address at the public forum, 6:30 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6 at Town Hall Seattle. The free forum will also feature a panel discussion and Q&A followed by a reception. Dig deeper and determine next steps at a morning working session 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 7 at Town Hall. The working session is free, but registration will be required. The event is open to the public and designed to engage artists, arts and cultural organizations, elected officials, government leaders, arts administrators, creative business owners, investors, real estate developers and brokers, nonprofit organizations and interested citizens.
