The community is invited to celebrate the life and achievements of Melissa Hines at a public memorial service, 3 to 5 p.m., Monday, May 9 at Town Hall, 1119 Eighth Ave.

A friend, colleague and mentor to many in the arts community, Melissa passed away from cancer, April 8.

Since 2004, Melissa managed the Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs’ cultural partnerships program. During this difficult time, we are grateful for the outpouring of support and touching remembrances shared on our blog. You can read Melissa’s obituary in today’s Seattle Times.
