Indie songsmith Jon Solo performs free concert Thursday at City Hall

Join us for an afternoon of indie rock from Jon Solo. On Thursday, Aug. 23, Solo will perform at City Hall’s outdoor plaza, 600 Fourth Ave., for a free, all-ages concert, 12 to 1:30 p.m. The show is part of Seattle Presents, a free, lunchtime summer concert series. Only two remaining shows! Check out the lineup here.

Indie songsmith Jon Solo has been playing piano for more than 30 years and is now gaining recognition as a singer/songwriter.  Brooklyn-based, this soulful musician and multi-instrumentalist returns to Seattle for a reunion with Seattle drummer Byron Vanoy, bassist Dean Schmidt and other special guests. Solo’s understated, Paul Simon-esque sound pairs perfectly with his catchy song style.

See for yourself:  Check out Jon Solo performing “Dandelion” in Brooklyn’s McCarran Park.  This video captures him playing on Luke Jerram’s art installation, which includes 60 pianos scattered throughout the New York City area.

Seattle Presents concerts are presented by the Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, Metropolitan Improvement District and Triamp Group.
