“Creative Placemaking” report highlights Seattle music initiative

Seattle's City of Music Initiative has been highlighted in a new report on Creative Placemaking by the Mayors' Institute on City Design, an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts.

The Mayors’ Institute on City Design, an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts, has released an exciting new Creative Placemaking report to serve as a resource for mayors, arts organizations, the philanthropic sector and others interested in leveraging the arts to shape and revitalize the physical, social, and economic character of neighborhoods, cities and towns.

Seattle’s own City of Music Initiative is included in the report’s short list of exemplary case studies for its efforts to rejuvenate the community through music and the arts.
