Does something look different on the Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs’ home page? You may be noticing our new, streamlined header and footer – the product of a redesign of the city of Seattle home page and top-level portal that debuted today on Seattle.gov.

Over the past few months, the Citywide Web Team has been working to create a new look for Seattle.gov, which is visited by more than one million users every month. The new design was based on the results of a series of usability studies that measured what city web pages users visited the most, and how they arrived there.

This redesign is the first of several new features the Citywide Web Team will launch this fall, including my.seattle.gov, a customizable, personal interface to Seattle.gov, and Seattle Speaks Online, which will allow constituents and City officials to ask questions, get answers and discuss issues in an open, online forum.

Let the city know what you think by sending your comments to city.web@seattle.gov – and keep checking Seattle.gov for updates and new features throughout the fall!
