Free public art web seminar for artists, Oct. 13

The Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs and 4Culture invite you to sit in on Public Art 101 for Artists, a free web seminar (or “webinar”) produced by Americans for the Arts. The webinar is  11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 4Culture, 101 Prefontaine Pl. S.

Public Art 101 for Artists will provide artists who are new to public art with information about how to be successful during the design phase of a public art project. Presenters are Barbara Goldstein, director of public art, city of San Jose Office of Cultural Affairs; Lynn Rogers, public art project manager, city of San Jose Office of Cultural Affairs; Amy Trachtenberg, artist; and Sam Rodriquez , artist. Liesel Fenner, public art program manager for Americans for the Arts, will moderate the discussion.
Participants will watch a live webcast of the presentation and join the conversation via live chat online. Public art staff from 4Culture and the Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs will host an informal public art Q & A following the webinar.
