Hear from the design finalists for the Central Waterfront, Sept. 15

Hear from and ask questions of the four finalists for the role of lead designer for Seattle’s Central Waterfront, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 15, at Benaroya Hall, 200 University St. Doors to the S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium will open at 6:30 p.m. The meeting is free and open to the public. No RSVP is required.

The Central Waterfront project will create more than nine acres of new public space in the heart of our city – reconnecting Seattle to Elliott Bay after the removal of the Alaskan Way Viaduct. At the event, the four finalists will showcase their skills, experience and approach to this landmark project. The winning designer will be selected in part on the strength of their presentation and their response to questions from the public.

The four finalists teams who will present are led by  Gustafson Guthrie Nichol, james corner field operations, Michael Van Valkenburgh and Associates and Wallace Roberts and Todd.

The event will also be webcast live by Seattle Channel at www.seattlechannel.org/eventlive.
